Life just keeps getting in the way.
A long time goal of mine has been to document and photograph my quilts. So it was time to refold some of the large quilts that are stored. So I took some photos to start the process.
Sidenote: I recently got a new computer and had to reload my programs. Since then Windows Live and Blogger have both changed and I don’t know what I am doing and there is no help section in Windows Live so please bear with me.
The above quilts are 1) Stitches from my Heart by Veda Wilhite, 2& 3) Blooming Nine Patch and close up from “Traditions with a Twist” by Blanche Young, 4) Civil War Quilt by Rosemary Youngs, 5)Civil War Mystery inspired by the Harriet Tubman block designed by Kaye England, 6) Dear Jane from book by Brenda Papadakis, 7)” Women of Charm and Grace” by Blackbird Designs note this was a workshop retreat and a kit provided – in my estimation it is an example of the wrong fabric for the quilt.7) “Women of Design” by Barbara Brackman
While at a recent retreat I did get some of the Lost Ship blocks sewn together. The top goes to the quilter next week.
I also have assembled my Carolina Lily but I have not trimmed it and I am debating about adding a narrow border. This is a poor photo, but it is to large to layout and I don’t want to hang it until I have it quilted.
I have also been auditioning fabrics for the sashing on my Nearly Insane since I am almost half way. This is the second fabric I have purchased. What do you think?
I almost forgot I recently picked up this quilt from the quilter. It is the Farmer’s Wife quilt designed by Laurie Hird
Until next time.
Pat
